What a joy it has been to have spent the last 15 years supporting individuals in understanding their needs, celebrating who they are, and enhancing their wellbeing as a sexuality professional. I’ve had the great pleasure of leading workshops about sexual health, body image, and consent at colleges all over the US and Canada, as well as creating educational content for both web and TV. In the 2010s, I partnered with the US Air Force South Carolina bases to help reduce sexual assault in the military. In the 2020s, I joined with the folks at Mormon Stories to support those who have been emotionally harmed in their spiritual community. My work has been deeply rewarding, and I’m so grateful for the opportunities I have been given to share my message in TIME, The New York Times, The Atlantic, The Today Show, and more.

It is an incredible privilege to serve my community here in Winston-Salem, NC.

Outside the therapy room...

You can find me wandering around our beautiful state parks with my partner and miniature poodle, Poppy! My favorite hikes near the Triad are Stone Mountain, Eno River, and Pilot Mountain. I go chasing waterfalls out in WNC whenever I can (sorry, TLC). When life gets stressful, I know I can always come back to myself by turning off my phone and goofing off with loved ones outdoors.

Surprising nobody, I love to read about philosophy, psychology, and sexuality. I live for a deep dive with a good book on my porch in the morning. Engaging with life's big questions is an integral part of who I am as a person and a therapist. Some of my favorite writings are by Carl Rogers, bell hooks, Alain de Botton, and Esther Perel.

On the weekends, I unwind by cooking, working on an art project, and tuning in to 90.5 WSNC. I love the peaceful, laid back vibes of Winston-Salem and am so grateful for the incredible folks that I get to call friends and mentors here.
